Location Scouting

We have been out and looked at a selection of location options for the filming
of each scene. We will base the decisions on practicality and effect for the
scene.

Pub Scene

These are the three pubs we have looked at for filming the scene with the
older characters in talking about the wedding day. We will choose the pub we
film in depending on which one we can get permission for filming in. We will
not need to consider mise-en scene much for this scene as we are using the
actual setting and not trying to recreate it.
Wedding Scene

The first two photos are of the same location, but different rooms. This
location would work well as it is an empty space that we could easily transform
using props and mise-en scene to create a registrary office scene. The last
photo is of a golf club in our local area, which is already set up for a civil
ceremony.
Sofa Scene

These are our options for the sofa scene with Helen and Dan speaking about
their wedding day. It needs to look quite cosy and for that reason we think the
first picture has the edge as it is in a corner and would make the couple look
closer.

Party Scene

These are the two options for the party

scene including Jenny and the party
guests. As there will be only 3 characters
in the scene, we think it should be quite a small room in order to help it look
busier.
George Scene

These are the location options for the scene where George is sitting by himself
looking at a photo of Helen. It needs to be quite a confined space in order to
give the impression of the character being isolated.
