aImpact will be minimal to the Commercial sector which did not take their TAC last season.
{twill relieve uncertainty about the coming season, provide room for growth in the high-
value public sector and place no additional strain on the resource which apparently is
growing, Anticipated growth in TAC will mitigate any down-side to real economic impact on
the commercial sector.
3. Continue to work towards a future mechanism for willing transfer of access between sectors
that respects the common property nature of the resource before it is caught.

Minister, | believe the measures noted would change the dial on the debate, restore order to the
‘coming season and create a more equitable and sustainable fishery. Thank you for giving this
