The size distribution by intensity represent the intensity of scattering of a particle and is proportional to the sixth power of its diameter. The measurements are made based on Mie theory, which presumes that the particles are perfect spheres.

The size distribution by intensity, obtained from a DLS (Dynamic Light
Scattering) measurement, represent the intensity of scattering of a particle and is
proportional to the sixth power of its diameter. This correlation is based on Rayleigh`s approximation. The size distribution by number describe the number of each size particle.
The measurements are made based on Mie theory, which presumes that the particles are perfect spheres and was calculate the diameter of an imaginary sphere.
