Transforming HRIS at Novartis:    

Novartis is a big organization, there are many challenges faced by Novartis human resource
department. So the organization is going to under process of Implementation of the HRIS
(Human Resource Information System) for its hr. The HRIS effort represented a major change in
the fundamental role and responsibilities of the HR function within Novartis.
Reasons for System Failure: -
1.    Problems arise when system is designed with features to add value to business but not
relevant to HR
2.    Threats from Data Protection and Privacy Issues
3.    Cultural differences in communication between Global branches as a result of
misinterpretation that arise due to lack of commitment in implementation of HR strategy

It is the main function which performs at origination’s hr .The hr control the understaffing and
overstaffing

Recruitment and selection of employees


There are following ways for the recruitment and selection. First of all advertisement is given
through (), then a written test is conduct in the specific area or somewhere in office. After
that the candidates who secure the minimum 75 % of marks, organization call him for further
assessment in which a group discussion is conduct for the evaluation of their attitudes and
personalities, then finally face to face interview in the presence of hr assistat and other
company responsible person.then the selected candidates list is forward to the concern
department head, who need new employes.

when year start every employee has to send his objectives to his concern department head ,
which must be exuecuted during the year then every employe evaluate through Mid year
appraisal and annual appraiasal,
