BIOGRAPHY OF THE AUTHOR

Meera was born and raised in rural Missouri but has written a
great deal about places she's lived and visited in the world,
including most recently the Miami area. Currently she lives in
the San Francisco Bay Area where she keeps a potage garden, an
orchard, and five chickens. She has written more than two dozen
books on topics ranging from history and religion to interior
design and pique assiette mosaics. An avid traveler, she's been to
29 countries and four continents. Her interests are varied,
spanning history, culture, mythology, cooking, gardening, and
painting. She also plays the violin when she can squeeze the time
out of a tightly scheduled day, otherwise, she just holds it and
imagines the beautiful melodies that can be created upon it.
