exchange.

Types of Exchange

• Outbound Exchange

• Inbound Exchange or Return Only


Exchange

• En-route Exchange

• Past-date Exchange
Outbound Exchange
• Change to the outbound segment.
• Entire ticket must be re-priced.
Inbound Exchange or Return
Only Exchange
• change to any flight other than the
outbound flight PRIOR to departure.
En-route Exchange
• change to any flight other than the
outbound flight AFTER departure.

Past-date Exchange

• customer has an old ticket to use


toward the purchase of a new ticket.

Pre-Qualifying Outbound
Exchange
• What to check?
– What is the ticket type (paper ticket or e-
ticket)?
– Coupon status should be open for use.
– The ticket should be changeable.
– Is the ticket refundable or non-refundable?
– How much is the penalty (change fee)?
– Is it for the same passenger?
– Same airline
Activity: Can I change this
ticket?
Provided that the rest of the conditions are
met.
