Fort Worden State Park and Conference Center is a 434-acre multi-use park with over two miles of saltwater shoreline and a wide variety of
services and facilities. The park rests on a high bluff overlooking Puget Sound. Many historic buildings remain at this 19th century military fort.

History: Fort Worden, along with the heavy batteries of Fort Flagler and Fort Casey, once guarded nautical entrance to Puget Sound. These posts, established in
the late 1890s, became the first line of a fortification system designed to prevent a hostile fleet from reaching such targets as the Bremerton Naval Yard and the
cities of Seattle, Tacoma and Everett. Construction began in 1897 and continued in one form or another until the fort was closed in 1953. The property was
purchased as a state park in 1955. Fort Worden is named after Rear Admiral John L. Worden.

Name are based on the science of sound vibrations.

Yogiraj has the final discretion in empowering a retreat attendee with a spiritual name and/or a personal mantra. If Yogiraj feels the attendee is
karmically not ready to receive a personal mantra and/or a spiritual name then the Guru-Dakshina will be fully refunded.

Important information regarding Guru Dakshina for spiritual name and personal mantra
At a pragmatic level and a spiritual level, for the imparting of assisting yogic techniques and philosophy, a certain guru-dakshina was sanctioned by the Mahavatar
Babaji and other great Masters along the passage of time, whereby the learner could clear his karmic debt with the Master by giving Him a dakshina of fruits and
grains and gold. This helped the disciple to lighten his karmic burden (which is also material by the way), which the Master took upon himself according to His own
discretion. In turn, the Master was able to support His ashram and His spiritual hermitage with the gifts and donations brought by disciples. What more beautiful an
exchange could there be between the wise Master and a disciple willing to lay his life on the line for a pathway to self realization. In this exchange of yogic
information with material gifts, there should be no inhibition. We are paying for the material amenities which are employed and the techniques which are used in
assisting you to get the spiritual knowledge.

Yogiraj's heart is ever expanding to accommodate as many souls as possible. The funds generated by the retreats will be used to expand the mother center in
Pune as well as acquiring the land and building the Siddhanath Himalayan Ashram to accommodate more and more souls each year. The funds also support
Yogiraj in his mission to reach out to souls and empower them into powerful rEvolutionary techniques to bring about Earth Peace through Self Peace.

Kriya Yoga – It’s Origins, Philosophy, Science and Practice
The science of Kriya Yoga was introduced to the modern world by Mahavatar Babaji through his beloved disciple Shri Lahiri Mahasaya
In the microcosm, the electrons revolve around the nucleus inside an atom. In the macrocosm, similarly, the earth and the other planets in
our solar system revolve around the sun in an elliptical orbit. This elliptical orbit creates times in which the planets will be farthest away from
the sun and times in which the planets will be closest to the sun. Now the sun in our solar system has a companion star and both of them
orbit around a common center of gravity. Also, both stars along with their planets revolve around the Grand Center, a super massive black
hole in the center of our Milky Way galaxy. When the sun in the course of its movement comes closer to the Grand Center, inner virtues of
humans gradually manifest, causing the power of comprehension to increase. When the sun recedes away from the Grand Center the
virtues gradually become submerged and the power of comprehension diminishes. This motion of the sun causes a cycle of rising and falling
Ages over long periods of time. This is due to the increasing and decreasing electromagnetic effects generated by the sun and other nearby
stars. This manifestation and evolution of the galaxy continues for a period of one thousand Ages as the sun revolves in this manner in
relation to the Grand Center. The four Ages that manifest are known as the Dark Age (1,200 years of ignorance), the Electric Age (2,400
years – comprehension of electricity and its applications), the Magnetic Age (3,600 years – comprehension of magnetism and its applications),
and the Spiritual Age (4,800 years – comprehension of psyche and its applications). Thus, it takes 12,000 years for the sun to move from the
farthest position on its orbit around the Grand Center to the closest position on its orbit around the Grand Center. It takes 12,000 more
years for the sun to move from the closest point on its orbit around the Grand Center back to the farthest position on its orbit around the
Grand Center. A complete revolution of the earth around the sun is known as a solar year while a complete revolution of the moon around
the earth is known as one lunar month. The Ages can be expressed in terms of solar years or lunar months. It takes a little more than twelve
lunar months for the moon to complete one revolution around the sun. During this period the entire body gets recharged and refreshed.
The ancient sages discovered that the secret of mind is intimately linked with breath mastery. Scriptures say that whatever there is in the
Universe is also in one’s own body. In Kriya Yoga the brain in the human body which is the seat of the Spirit is considered to be the "Sun"
principle in the body, while the human mind is considered to be the "Moon" principle. With these two principles as the basis of Kriya Yoga,
the technique has been evolved to move the Moon principle of the mind from the base of spine to the Sun principle in the brain. This is
accomplished by the force of breaths along the spinal cord. This provides the firmament, thereby enacting the movement of the external
moon which constitutes the lunar months. One such complete movement of the mind between the two points along the spinal cord is taken
as the equivalent of a lunar month enacted within one’s own body. The sages call one such movement a "Kriya". It takes on an average, thirty
seconds to complete a Kriya which causes subtle progress of evolution. By repeating this action one is able to accomplish the equivalent of
the Ages in a short time and within the span of one's lifetime. Kriya Masters affirm that the finer virtues and capabilities of the higher Ages
that manifest in the course of thousands of years can be attained by performing the equivalent number of Kriyas. Higher techniques have also
been designed in Kriya Yoga to accomplish the fulfillment of Kriya Yoga even in such a short period of six or seven years. Thus, a half-minute
of Kriya equals one year of natural spiritual unfoldment. A half-minute of Kriya is also known as one Shiva-Shakti Kriya.

The movement of Kriya Breath along the spinal cord causes magnetization of the spine which in turn causes the reversal of the electrical flow
of life currents (pran). This reversal of pran is known as Pratyahar in yogic parlance. The Kriya Breath at the same time awakens the latent
Kundalini energy (bioelectrical energy in the form of light sound vibration) which lies coiled three and a half times at the base of the spine.
The awakened kundalini energy tries to follow up the spine towards the brain to unite with its source, the Absolute Consciousness which is
beyond the crown chakra at the top of the head. Before the energy can successfully reach the crown chakra, it has to pass through all the
chakras and pierce the three knots inside the central channel. This is accomplished by the grace of the Sat Guru. The energy finds other
pathways to the various parts of the body through the many nerves emanating from the spine. The energy purifies the elements and effaces
the karma lodged in chakras and the nitrogen nubs of the DNA, thus affecting the genes encoded in the DNA. One’s karma is determined by
the genes expressed in the DNA which are passed on by the ancestors including parents. Thus, karma determines the environment and
family an individual is born into which will allow the maximum expression of the genes to fulfill those karmas during the individual’s lifetime.
The neurons in the brain become charged when the Kundalini energy comes into contact with them and expands the awareness of the brain.
With each Kriya Breath more and more neurons become activated and finally all of them activate together to bestow cosmic awareness to
the Kriya Yogi. This technique of Kriya is a marvelous method of controlling the difficult mind. Purification of the body elements is a must
before cosmic consciousness can be awakened. Purification of the elements is accomplished by practicing the Shiva-Shakti Kriya Breath.
Scientists have found that there exists a relationship between a person's respiratory rate and the variations in the states of mind. A person
whose attention is wholly engrossed breathes very slowly. Focus, which is fixity of attention, depends on slow breathing. Fast or uneven
breaths result from negative emotions like fear, lust, and anger. The restless monkey breathes at a rate of thirty-two times per minute, in
contrast to a human's average of eighteen times. The elephant, tortoise, snake and other animals noted for their longevity have a respiratory
rate which is less than a human's. The tortoise, for instance, who may attain the age of 300 years, breathes only four times a minute. The
heart of a person throbs in order to draw oxygen through breath for oxidizing accumulated carbon inside due to the metabolic process.
Kriya Breathing results in the intake of higher than normal amounts of oxygen which gives rest to the heart and the involuntary nerves
connected with it. The benefits of Kriya Yoga are countless. The blood is de-carbonized and then recharged with oxygen. This extra oxygen
rejuvenates the brain and spinal centers. By stopping the accumulation of venous blood, a Kriya Yogi is able to prevent the decay of tissues,
thus arresting the aging process. Decay and mutations of growth in the body are arrested by an addition of life force (incoming breath) and
outgoing breath respectively. This quiets the heart and allows controlling their life through breath control. The mind is also released for a
while from the "grip" of life current. Thus, through the conversion of breath into mind by the practice of Kriya Yoga, the Kriya Yogi is able to
cognize the breath as an act of mind and dream-breath. This frees oneself from the effects of one’s own actions.
