THANKSGIVING DAY (A Family Holiday)

It is a special family holiday celebrated in the USA in the fourth Thursday in November. People usually take
a long holiday weekend and family try to be together. Americans decorate their houses for T and make
cards and special food. They begin to celebrate the T weekend with a traditional T dinner on Thursday
evening. This traditionally includes Turkey. During the weekend they do lots of activities together. A Big
New York store called Macy’s has a T Day parade which many families go or watch TV. The parade always
ends with a visit from Santa Claus marking the beginning of the Christmas period.
