04 setup <-

1. install ubuntu 5 minutes howto

2. login as eugen

3.install wine from winehq.org to run windows applications on linux

3.1. add the Wine PPA and install via the terminal
#sudo add-apt-repository ppa:ubuntu-wine/ppa
3.2. update apt's package information
#sudo apt-get update
3.3. install wine
#sudo apt-get install wine

4. install microsoft office 2007 on Ubuntu 10.04

4.1. mount microsoft office 2007 cd-rom
4.2. right click on office2007enterprise.exe > open with wine windows program loader

5. install smbfs package

#sudo apt-get smbfs

6. mount samba share

#mkdir /home/eugen/Desktop/smbdocs
#smbmount //samba/documents /home/eugen/Desktop/ smbdocs

6. open Microsoft Word 2007 create a file and save on smbdocs

Desktop > Applications > Wine > Programs > Microsoft Office > Microsoft Office Word 2007
