1 Compound requirement: that is not going to have a low free fraction ie.

There should be high free

fraction. Compound A is the best compound because it has less protein binding & low extraction
ratio (ER) compared to other compounds.
So compound A is going to have a high free fraction compared to B&C.

2 Compound requirement: no absorption

Compound C is the best compound because it has more protein binding(99%) so only 1% of drug
is available in free form. It has extraction ratio (0.3-0.7) and also, low permeability (less Papp
value).

3 Half-life: This is the period of time required for the concentration or amount of drug in the body to
be reduced by one-half. In the given compounds A, B &C, compound B has half life 24 H so it
will provide concentration 50% of the initial concentration at 24 H.

4 Compound Z has efflux ratio equal to 1 and so it has ability to cross cell membranes.
Mechanism: Passive diffusion.

5. Compound B is the best compound because it is less ionized at PH 7.4 (% ionization= 75.9%)
and it has less protein binding so it is going to have a high free fraction.

6.Compond X is more potent than Y& Z because it produces max. response at low dose of drug.
