Nili Yosha is an art photographer who has
studied at the San Francisco Art Institute.
‘She now welcomes everyone to the Middle
East in Trondheim. — Why do people try to
make peace by drawing a line on a map? If

they go to the area, they will find that the
line goes right through the villages. You
have to make decisions in the land, so I
bring people to the land, she announces.
‘Superheroes ready for action
Yosha Is a determined woman with a clear
vision of how the gallery should look. Her
positive attitude is also apparent in her
thoughts on the Middle East conflict. She
agrees with Desmond Tutu in that young
people can make big changes in the world.
~ Think of the scenes in superhero movies
where the hero gets ready for action. He
puts on his costume and prepares his equip
‘ment, We are in that state, ready to act.
Ideas for peace
Yosha has covered the gallery walls with
her own pictures of a desert. Visitors get
to sit on blankets in the sand, eat falafels
and drink coffee together. They will also
find papers and crayons, which they can use
to make ideas for peace. ~ Everybody has
some relation to conflict, and everybody has
ideas, Yosha believes. Her hope is that the
strings she has hung on the walls will get
filled with ideas for peace, which she will
bring with her when she moves her exhibi-
tion to other countries.
