1. Don’t Be a Showoff
o Ask questions such as “If I didn’t work here, would I care
about this?”
o Don’t promote yourself
2. Don’t Use Poor Grammar or Spelling
o Don’t abbreviate, use punctuations,
and use a minimum of emoticons
o Be professional
3. Don’t Get Too Personal
o Keep your conversations
professional, not personal (you’ll
sound like a stalker)
o Keep your personal thoughts to
