Dear Parents,

Does your child know who Jack Gantos is? We do hope so by now as
teachers across the school are sharing his work with their classes.
Why are we focusing on his work? Well we have the tremendous
pleasure of welcoming Jack to NIST this Friday February 25th. Jack will
hold sessions with the students in the theatre from EY through to
Year 7 examining his works and sharing his love of and skill in the
craft of writing. His workshops examine such writers’ concerns as
how to find great story material, structuring writing effectively and
the elements of writing. His presentations are always filled with
laughter and his literature.

Jack will sign books for children on the day of his visit. Books can be
purchased from Foyles staff at school on Thurs. 24th as well as on Fri.
25th. Teachers will inform the children of the approx. cost of books
before Thurs. as I receive the information from Foyles.
