What is acupuncture?

• Acupuncture is a tried and tested system of

medicine used for thousands of years in China
and the East.

• Treatment involves the insertion of ultra fine,

sterile needles at chosen points to stimulate the
body’s own healing mechanisms and restore the
natural balance of internal energy.

What happens when you come for
treatment?
• The first appointment is a consultation giving you
the opportunity to tell me about your symptoms,
medical history, diet, sleep patterns and energy
levels.
• Following treatments are recommended for 4-6
weeks and then reviewed; frequency and length
of treatment depends on your individual
condition.
• Clinics are held on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
• Concessionary rates available, please enquire.

Safe and Professional

• Acupuncture is a very safe treatment with few adverse

effects. Most people feel relaxed and calm after
treatment.
• I am a fully qualified acupuncturist and a member of The
British Acupuncture Council which is the main registering
body for professional acupuncturists in the UK. I abide
by the council’s code of professional conduct and am
fully insured.
