Goal 1: To reduce any disparity in performance on assessment instruments administered under Subchapter B, Chapter 39 between students

identified as at risk of dropping out of school and all other district students.

Performance Objective 1: To increase percentage of at-risk students and all student subgroups (American Indian/Alaskan Native,
Asian/Pacific Islander, African American, Hispanic, White/not of Hispanic origin, Special Education, LEP, and Economically
Disadvantaged) taking 2010 TAKS tests who meet above minimum expectations on Mathematics tests, on each campus and in
each grade level by 10%.

Summative Evaluation: Winfree Academy Charter Schools showed significant growth in student achievement as measured by the
2010 TAKS scores. The objectives were not met for all subpopulations. However, the TAKS Progress Measure Sum of All
Grades Tested (AEA Indicator) demonstrates a 10% or higher increase in passing scores for 30 of 35 possible measurements as
evidenced above.
Goal 2: To have 100% of all core academic classes taught by highly qualified teachers and 100% highly qualified staff will be maintained.

Performance Objective 1: 100% of core academic classes will be taught by highly qualified teachers, 100% of paraprofessionals
with instructional duties will meet NCLB requirements and 100% of highly qualified staff will be maintained.

Charter School Instructional Plan.

Goal 4: Parents and community members will be partners in the education of Winfree Academy Charter School students.

Performance Objective 1: 70% or more of all students’ parents/guardians and/or family members will participate in at least one
school sponsored activity for/with their student.

Summative Evaluation: Winfree Academy Charter Schools increased its opportunities for parent/community involvement during
the 2009-2010 school year. This included two Linking Tree Mental Health Fairs, Saturday Open House on each campus, Get
Ready! parent/community post-high school workshops, and the creation of a parent volunteer council on each campus.
Additionally each campus held other parent/community involvement activities on their campus. From informal assessment,
parent/community involvement increased on all campuses. However, the way that the goal and objective were written,
parent/community involvement is unable to be formally assessed. Therefore, Objective 1 was not met due to inability to measure
the objective. Winfree Academy Charter Schools will continue to address Goal 4 in the 2010-2011 Charter School Instructional
Plan, in a specific and measurable format.
Goal 5 : To reduce any disparity in students graduating Recommended/Distinguished between students identified as at risk of dropping out
of school and all other district students.

Performance Objective 1: To increase percentage of at-risk students and all student subgroups (American Indian/Alaskan Native,
Asian/Pacific Islander, African American, Hispanic, White/not of Hispanic origin, Special Education, LEP and Economically
Disadvantaged) graduating under the Recommended/Distinguished Graduation Plan.
