Batam is one of biggest shipyard industrial building in Indonesia. Almost of Batam’s

peninsula is surrounded by Shipyard Industries, because Batam have strategic location near
with Singapore and Malaysia.

So that’s why I’m work in ship industry, my company is Pioneer Offshore Indo Raya is
moving in many sectors such as barge and tug making and rent, piping for offshore project,
also repairing ship. Pioneer location is closest with Sagulung’s traditional harbor.

I work here from November 2009 till now, just one thing make me weird is nothing girl work
at here. Every day is man, different with employee in electronic company. But, I’m very
happy cause I have a lot of friends they are so kind and funny.

In my work place, I’m not feeling like real worker, because every day I spent my time to
learn not only looking for money. I believe one thing “experience is more worth rather than
money”
