IMPORTANT! The edges of the “Q” & Mesh grilles can be extremely
sharp. Please handle with care.
Lower Grille Installation Tip: Using a
thumb wheel socket wrench and an 11/32”
socket will make this job much easier. Lower
fastener access is extremely limited.

1. Use a flat blade screwdriver to remove the factory
push pins across the top of the grille.
4. Install the supplied black silicone sleeves to the
mounting studs (trim the ends off with cutters or
a razor blade).
2. Open the hood use a long flat blade screw driver
to rotate the exposed mounting clips that retain
the upper grille. Turn them approx. 1/8 of a turn
and the clips will release.

5. Peel the protective cover from the stainless steel
grille sections and remove the glue residue using
solvent and glass cleaner. Align the stainless steel
grille sections into the factory grille openings.
6. Install the mounting brackets over the studs as
shown. Install 8-32 ESNA lock nuts and tighten
until snug. DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN OR YOU
COULD DENT THE GRILLE!

3. The lower mounting clips that retain the bottom
of the grille can be released by sqeezing the clip
and pulling straight out. Remove all clips from the
radiator support panel.

7. For lower grille installation, you must first remove
the screws the hold the front tag bracket in place
and remove the bracket (if equipped).
8. Apply masking tape around the lower grille open
ing to protect the paint while aligning the lower
grille (Pathfinder shown, Frontier similar).

9. Frontier LE Lower: Apply masking tape to the
ends of the lower grille opening and paint the
recessed part semi-gloss black as shown.

13. Pathfinder and Frontier SE Lower: For bumper
covers painted any other colors than black or dark
blue, apply semigloss black paint to the inside of
the factory bumper cover opening even with the
verticle dividers.

10. Cut out and align the proper lower grille mounting
hole template into the lower grille opening ends.
Use an awl or similar pointed tool to mark the cen
ter of the mounting hole onto the plastic.
11. Use a 1/4” drill bit to drill completely through the
bumper cover (Pathfinder and for lower grille stud
access.

14. Align the lower “Q” grille into place. Install a black
plastic washer onto each stud and install a ESNA
lock nut and tighten. Do not overtighten or you
could dent the grille at the stud locations.

12. Frontier LE Lower: Install a trimmed vinyl cap and
the supplied 5/16” tall PVC spacer onto each stud.
Paint the spacer semi-gloss black to conceal it
once the grille is installed.

15. Reinstall the upper grille assembly (Pathfinder
shown, Frontier same).
16. Reinstall the front tag bracket (if equipped)
using the factory screws to finish.
