Target audience

This is Meryem Ozdemir. She is 16 years and 10 months old, and lives in Goffs Oak in
Hertfordshire.
She dresses fashionably and comfortably leggings or jeans with boots and a top. She mainly
enjoys being with her friends, and shopping at the weekends in Oxford Street. She shops in
places like Zara and River Island, Jane Norman, New Look, and Topshop.
Her favourite films include Stomp the yard, Adulthood, Mean Girls, Angus Thongs and
Perfect Snogging, Sex and the City, Twilight, she enjoys watching them at the cinema and
also buying them later on DVD and watching them with her friends.
Meryem loves watch America’s next top model, Jersey Shore, Xfactor, and music channels. .
The main channels would be MTV Channel AKA; VIVA; Living TV; ITV; BBC Three..
The music Meryem would listen to would be anything in the charts, varying from pop, hip-
hop. R&B, Listens to Kiss FM and Capital FM and Choice FM.
I think my magazine would appeal to this girl as she is a likes R&B and ‘chart music’ which is
going to be my genre she likes the style of the artists and shops in hight street fashion. I
think that is my magazine was sold in the shops it would appeal to her as she can get the
lowdown on her favourite artist and upcoming tracks from them.
