China: one-child policy

China has always had a high population and that is because China before 1900
depended a lot on agriculture, which means that the more kids, the more wealth. In
2008 China had way more people than any other country in the world. To solve this
problem and lower the population the Chinese government would limit the population by
following the one-child policy. It is estimated that this policy will prevent the birth of 400
million over three decades. Families with one child can live better because they have
more benefits than bigger families, for example they have easier access for health
services. In the foreseeable future, the Chinese government has no intentions to stop the
one-child policy.
