    Aliases allow email forwarding from one account to another. To set up an alias, login to the email server and open the aliases file. Edit the file to forward emails from one address like "postmaster" to multiple addresses like "root" separated by commas. Save the file and run the newaliases command to update the alias database.

    Aliases (Forwarding) from one Email account to Another

    1. Login using WinSCP to Email Server (Postfix) and open the etc/aliases file.

    2. As shown in the diagram, if the mail is sent to postmaster, it will be forwarded to root and also
    to other addresses by using comma separated format. (e.g: postmaster: root)
    3. Edit the aliases file, save and run Putty. Run newaliases command and enter. If command is
    successful, there will be no errors and the aliases DB is updated accordingly.
