What specific practices he should consider helping develop a quality-based


business?

Specific practices that he should consider are:

i) Strategic planning and design of organizational and work systems


-all activities in the company which involve cash flow especially, should be
planned well, so that there will no over budget
-it is also important to ensure smooth progress in managing their business

ii) Customer engagement and knowledge acquisition


-it is important for Chuck and his employer to know what their costumer’s
need, so that they can prepare the best meal and at the same time, they can
fulfill their costumers satisfaction
iii) Workforce management
-force in working can help to motivate the employees to do better work, and
decrease human error while working
-one of workforce that they need to face is on-time delivering, in other to
satisfied their costumers satisfaction

iv) Process management


-they should have a guideline in each process in other to have good
management process
-guideline that they should have must cover on the meal preparation process,
delivering process, serving process, and other important processes
v) Information and knowledge management
-in other to develop a strong quality reputation, they should have all
information and knowledge about market situation, their competitor,
their strength, and especially their costumers
-they can gather information needed by doing surveying, via online
surveying, questionnaire, interview, observation and research, and
also by discussing with the employees and stakeholders

vi) Leadership
-as a leader, Chuck should be able to motivate his workers so that they
can give a good performance in their services
-he can motivate them by give them bonuses, praise for their good
performances, and take care of their welfare
