OBJECTIVES

1. Appreciate the importance of construction industry and the Government’s role in formulating policies
effecting the industry
2. Understand the implication of construction industry to national economics

TASKS

Study the initiatives of the government in utilising construction industry as agent of growth of nation
economic. Your study will focus on initiatives planned and carried out during 8th and 9th Malaysian Plan.
Discuss the outcome of the initiatives and highlight how the economic situations locally and globally
influence the implementation of the initiatives.

Your report need to cover two main areas of initiative i.e.:

1. Providing infrastructures (Government’s projects)

2. Housing development (Private projects)

Your report must at least based on three (3) references/projects for each area.

Assignment shall be done in a group of three (3) members.
