That night, the first night at the new house, Dani sleeps
in a small bedroom with his younger brother. Suddenly,
he finds himself standing in front the entrance of a huge
building. He enters the building and an old man with a
funny hat greets him. The old man says to him,
‘Welcome to the House Museum young boy!
The old man takes Dani into the museum. There are many
big pictures of different types of houses in the museum.
They walk and then stop in front of a huge picture of a
beautiful house. The old man tells Dani that house is a
bungalow. They continue walking and arrive at the second
picture. The old man says ‘This is a wooden house.’ The
house looks small. Dani wonders how will his family live in
such a small house.
After that, they come to the third picture. The house in the
picture looks like Dani’s flat, but it is bigger and more
beautiful. The old man explains that the house is a
condominium. Later, they come to the fourth picture. The
house in the picture looks very strange. Dani has never seen
it before. The old man says, ‘This, young boy, is an igloo!’.
At the end of the museum, is a picture of a boy, standing in
the rain. Dani asks the old man, ‘Why don’t he go into his
house? He might catch a cold.’. The old man answers, ‘He
doesn’t have one. I know you don’t like your new house,
but don’t you think you are lucky to even have one? Be
grateful with what you have Dani.’. In a flash of light, the
old man and the museum disappear and Dani wakes up
from his dream. He is confused, but now he knows that he
has to be grateful with he has.
