Go, grow and glow foods are three simple groups of food that the body needs for

growth and body, muscle and skin


development.  Foods also supply the body with energy and nutrients for activities, mobility and protection against
diseases.

Go foods contain carbohydrates that supply our body with energy in the form of calories that are needed for activities
such as walking, running, jumping, working, swimming, etc.  Go foods make the body strong and active. Examples of Go
foods are bread, pasta, rice, corn, and other cereals and grains.

Grow foods contain protein such as calcium and iron that are needed by the body for bone and muscle development. 
Examples of Grow foods are milk, meat, fish, eggs and cheese.

Glow foods contain nutrients, vitamins and minerals such as Vitamin C, Vitamin E, and Potassium that are needed by the
body as protection against diseases and make our body senses active and healthy. Glow foods make our skin and eyes
glow.  Examples of Glow foods as fruits and vegetables such as banana, apple, carrot, and tomato.
