  $1.5-million

Foundation CMG has been supporting the Schulich School of Engineering since 2007 and has made over
$5.4 million in contributions supporting student awards, research grants and research chairs. Under Meyer's
leadership, Foundation CMG has embarked upon a $700-million, 25-year initiative to set up a network of experts
around the world who are devoted to finding economically viable solutions through computer modelling of oil and gas
recovery processes.

<!--[if gte mso 9]-->"Frank saw the importance of investing in and promoting engineering, science and
technology. He established Foundation CMG with the purpose to support projects such as research chairs, research
and development, research grants, and student awards. We are proud to continue his legacy," said Duke Anderson,
president of Foundation CMG.

The gift marks the occasion of the retirement of Frank Meyer, president and CEO of Foundation CMG, and
recognizes his 25-year commitment to furthering this area of research.

The gift will create two new laboratories and facility upgrades to support Dr. John Chen,
NSERC/AERI/Foundation CMG iCORE Industrial Chair in Reservoir Simulation, and Dr. Mario Costa Sousa,
iCORE/Foundation CMG Industrial Research Chair in Scalable Reservoir 4D Visualization.

: Foundation CMG is a not-for-profit member directed organization that promotes and funds research
and student work in the area of computer numerical modelling and the four-dimensional visualization of oil and gas
reservoirs. Expertise in this area is crucial when it comes to helping the industry find new and better ways to
maximize oil and gas recovery while reducing costs and environmental impact.
