SAMPLING SYSTEM
OBJECTIVES:
Collect Hot, Corrosive, and Vaporising Samples, Safely and Effectively by ensuring:
• Personnel safety.
• Remove AIR from the system and the sampling bottle to avoid loss by oxidation.
• Remove HEAT from the sample by cooling down to ambient to avoid loss by flashing.
 SAMPLING SYSTEM CONCEPT AND
OPERATIONS
• Purge system with inert gas.
• Introduce fluid to be sampled from its flowing stream, to sampling system.
• Open recycle back into flowing stream.
• Start cooling medium flow through the heat exchanger, to cool the feed of
flowing stream into sampling system.
• Monitor Sampling vessel to achieve required temperature.
• Stop feed stream from flowing, and isolate system.
