Jim Dyke
President
Jim has worked on four presidential campaigns, managed a congressional
campaign and served as a Communications Advisor to President George W.
Bush and Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist.
Before founding Jim Dyke & Associates in 2005, now JDA Frontline, Jim served as
Communications Director of the Republican National Committee (RNC) where he spearheaded a
successful communications strategy that helped reelect President Bush in 2004. He created
innovative earned media campaigns that garnered significant national attention by integrating
innovative web-based components and aggressive outreach leading to maximized coverage in all
areas of the media, Prior to the 2004 election, Jim was the RNC Press Secretary,
Serving as Press Secretary and Spokesman for U.S. Commerce Secretary Donald Evans during the
Bush Administration's first term, Jim handled all media relations including rapid response activities
and development and delivery of the Secretary's message.
Prior to serving in the Bush Administration, Dyke built successful coalitions and developed
communications strategies for clients of Quinn Gillespie & Associates. He began his career in
Washington, DC as a Senate parking lot attendant. In short order, he parlayed a stint as assistant
brewmeister at the Capital City Brewing Company into a lobbying position at the Beer Institute.
Described by The Washington Post.as a “creative campaigner,” Jim has a proven record of
creating innovative communications strategies that help clients achieve their public affairs
objectives.
Jim serves on the board of the College of Charleston Communications Advisory Council and is a
past board member of the USO World Board of Governors and the Charleston Habitat for
Humanity. An Arkansas native, Jim is a graduate of the University of Arkansas where he earned a
degree in History. He resides in Charleston with his wife and children.
