Fatality

by Scott Becker

A fatal opposition of two diametrically conflicting forces. Their mirror

reflection of radiating power grinding into each other. Duality evaporating
into invisibility. The corporal disintegrating into ether. Lounge lizard laziness
marshaled into mundane musical mending. Steel silhouettes evaluated upon
high absolute stone, Old men hobble to and fro like old women. You can see
what you want in the woman's gait.

Arrogance personified or heavy dignity. Rough and tumble wrought of

unrelenting responsibility. Disembodied voices speaking aloud with no object
of conversation. Visibility in sight. Dismissive glances turned with an
unexpected smile. The empty cyclone swirled in the crowded space removing
all possibilities but sunshine.

Somnambulant past tense words in print deliberately composed to lull rather

than inform. Shadows cast long upon cobbles by an unremitting morning sun.
Two legged insects pass each other oblivious of the consequences of their
mutual ignorance. Birds rise and fall above the bushes nondescript. No
halloos or mortal call to be heard.

A more than passing type of interest leveraged out of boredom. Mr. "X-Box"
passes. Tiny terrible Tina in her little king getup with blue beret follows suit.
The silver blue missile stands parked and ready to flee. Arthur It is makes his
morning rounds to all the waiting digits. Lime green and violet, arm in arm.
See all the future terrorists battle for the simple right to breathe free.
