James H. Voyles, Jr., joined Voyles Zahn Paul Hogan and

Merriman after graduating from the Indiana University School
of Law - Indianapolis and serving as a law clerk to John J.
Dillon.
He has served as counsel in many counties in the State of
Indiana, and has represented clients in the States of Illinois,
Ohio, Michigan, Colorado, Montana, Pennsylvania, Florida and
New Jersey.

Voyles is rated AV by the Martindale and Hubbell Law

Directory and is listed in Woodward White’s book ‘The Best
Lawyers in America’ from 1985 to present, in the area of
criminal law.
He has lectured for several organizations including the Indianapolis Bar Association, the
National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, the National Institute of Trial Advocacy, and
public defender programs.
