Creating a SIP Trunk

1. First log in to your Elastix web interface, then click the PBX tab then “Trunks” on the left
menu and you will be taken to a page to select what sort of trunk you want to create. Click
“Add SIP Trunk”
2. This is where you will configure the trunk. The main fields of interest at the moment are the
“Outgoing Settings” and the “Incoming Settings”.
Outgoing Settings:
Trunk Name(a):: This can be whatever you want it to be, it is just used to help us identify
which trunk it is.
PEER Details(b):: Here we provide the information we are registering to with our provider,
username, password and server address.

Incoming Settings:(with
:(with a standard trunk to a vsp, we use the same credentials for incoming
and outgoing)
User Context(c):: The username provided
provid by your vsp. This will be your
USER Details(d):: Here you only really need to enter the password provided by your vsp.

Register String(e): Username:Password@server/number provided by your vsp.


3. When Done Click “Submit Changes” and you will be taken back to the “Add a Trunk” Page.
Click the Pink Apply Changes Bar at the top of the page.
