Mobile Number Portability (MNP)-

Mobile number portability (MNP) is defined as the

capability which allows mobile subscribers to change their mobile network opera
tor and/or service providers within the same country while
retaining the same MSISDN or MSISDNs.

Prerequisites for configuring mobile number portability services--

1. Installing the SRRi into the network
2. Creating signalling links between all the network elements (MSC, SRRi, HLR)
3. Configuring the SRRi and the MSC

When the SRRi is integrated into the network, the signalling connections have to
be created between it and the other network elements. For specific instructions,
see Common Channel Signalling (MTP, SCCP, TC) and Mobile Application Part
(MAP) .

GT translations must be created so that the incoming routing information request

is accepted by the SRRi and the Send Routing Information operations can be
routed towards the correct HLR after they have been handled in the SRRi.

Define GT translations for MT call (NBC)-

Define GT translation E164/NAT 88 => own point (NBC )
ZNBC::NAI=3:88:6:;
Define GT translation HLR address => towards the HLR (NBC )
ZNBC:::<HLR address>:<HLR point>:;
Define direction-specific settings for MT call (M2N)-
ZM2N:IND=1:GIMSI=2388999999999,SERI=N,FN=N;
