Silence

We used to spend everyday together,

Make footprints in the sand,

we’d think would last forever.

But now i’ve seen the light,

I know not everything can stay,

The same way life goes on,

The footprints get washed away,

When the music ended,

The silence was the only thing here,

I need the music to start again,

So the silence disappears,

Everything’s changing so fast,

Yet i can’t quite loosen my grip,

And let go of the past,

I want to remember those times,

Your lips on mine,

I want to feel your skin,

And imagine everything is fine,

I need to see your face,

And read the stories it tells,

But the more i am deprived of the stories,

The more my imagination swells.
