Aims: To understand the anatomy and physiology of the anal sphincter and
learn how to repair and manage obstetric anal sphincter injuries.

• Have insight into the complications of anal sphincter trauma.
• Recognize and accurately classify anal sphincter injury.
• Learn different repair techniques.

appropriately when caring for at risk pregnancies.

• Learn appropriate indications for fetal survielance.

• Gain enough experience which will reflect in improved clinical care of
at risk pregnancies.
• Receive hands-on experience on performing Doppler ultrasound and
