Weeklong summer youth program of STEM-related aviation
and space learning experiences!

Cecil Field Airport
WHO: _Limited to forty (40) middle and high school students
COST: $150
This exciting youth summer program will feature a combination of authentic aviation and aerospace
leaming experiences linked to Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) learning
objectives. The program is designed to inspire an initial interest in students to pursue a career that
challenges their knowledge of advanced mathematics and science through the imaginative use of
aerospace concepts. Students participating in the Aerospace Adventures Summer Youth Program
will be engaged in the following topics and activities:

Day 1: Aerodynamics, Aircraft, Airport Environment & Weather
Day 2: Air Traffic Control - Field Trip (FAA & NASA Smart Skies)
Day 3: Unmanned Aircraft Systems and Astronomy - Evening with the Stars
Day 4: Space Day - Commercial Space Flight
Day 5: Aviation Center of Excellence
Day 6: Career Day — Build a Commercial Spaceport Airport (FAA)
Simulator Lab & Graduation
Due to the complexities of aerospace and the extensive equipment requirements, there are
only a limited number of sites available in Florida equipped to provide students with aviation
and space related educational experiences of this magnitude. The Aerospace Adventures Summer
Youth Program should be considered as an introductory training ground for the aviation
and aerospace industry of the future.
