SELECTION PROCESS
The written test shall be objective type of two hours duration consisting of two parts. Part-I consisting
Professional/Technical Knowledge Test with 120 questions and Part-II consisting of aptitude test with
50 questions.
The venue and date of written examination will be intimated to the eligible candidates through
Admit Card. Candidates will have option to appear in the exam in Hindi/English Medium (Question
Paper will be bilingual excepting questions on test of English language)
Only those candidates who qualify in the written test and shortlisted thereafter as per criteria laid down
by the Management will be called for Trade Test/Computer skill test and personal interview as
applicable for the post in selection process. The final appointment of candidates is subject to their
medical fitness as per company standards.
Non-Refundable Application Fee as mentioned above shall be paid by the applicant in the form of
crossed Bank Draft/Indian Postal Order/Banker’s Cheque favouring “POWER GRID
CORPORATION OF INDIA LTD.” payable at New Delhi. Application Fee shall not be refundable for
any reason whatsoever.
RELAXATIONS / CONCESSIONS
2. SC/ST/PH candidates shall be reimbursed second class Rail/Bus fare by the shortest route for to
and fro travel for the purpose of appearing in the test and interview on production of Railway
Ticket No./PNR No./Bus Ticket for inward journey and SC/ST/PH certificate restricted to distance
between the address for communication and nearest test centre.
3. Ex-Servicemen candidates having a minimum six months continuous service is allowed age
relaxation to the extent of period spent in service plus three years subject to condition that the
resultant age after deducting his period of service from his actual age does not exceed the
prescribed age limit by more than three years.
4. Wherever, posts are not reserved for PH but are identified suitable for PH as per Govt.
Notification, they can also apply subject to meeting other eligibility requirements. Age Relaxation
shall be as applicable under GOI guidelines.

HOW TO APPLY
• Interested candidates should send their application strictly in the prescribed format
typed(given below) on A-4 Size Paper with a recent attested photograph affixed on it
along with a non-refundable application fees as mentioned above applicable for their
post. Attested copies of caste/disability certificates, educational qualification and
experience etc. certificates should be enclosed with the application by the candidate
wherever applicable.
• The envelope containing the application sent by candidates should be superscribed
with “Application for the post of__________________________,NR-I" (write name
of post applied for) and should be sent by Ordinary Post at the following address:-
