Summary:

It was late afternoon on a cold day in February. In a small Kentucky town, two men were sitting
and drinking wine. They are Mr. Shelby the owner of that house and Haley a slave trader. At there they
discussing about a slave who his name was Tom. Tom was a slave in Shelby family which was very good
worker and a religious slave in it family. Haley the slave trader was wanted to buy him and sell to other
family. But at that moment, the door opened by a little boy called Harry. After that Mr. Shelby asked
Harry to show his ability sing with dance. After seeing Harry, Haley was interested to buy him. Then not
long the door was opened again, now opened by young light skinned girl named Eliza.

Eliza is a light skinned girl that had grown up in the Shelby house and was admired by local
people for her pretty face and good manners. She was married to a young mulatto slave called George
Harris, from another farm. George owner hired him out to a local cotton factory where he very soon
showed how intelligent he was because he able to invented a machine that made it easier to make cotton.
But George owner was not happy because he did not want his slave is more popular than him, so he
decides to take George out from the factory and let him work in the farm. Some day George came to visit
Eliza in Shelby house. Her face was look unhappy face. She tell Eliza that he will escape from his owner
to Canada and will back to get Eliza and his son after he get much money from there.

The other slave that want Haley buy is Tom.
