SR 408 CLOSURES SCHEDULED FOR WEEK OF 3/21 – 3/25

(ORLANDO, FL) – On the night of Wednesday, March 23, the ramp from westbound State Road
408 (Spessard L. Holland East-West Expressway) to northbound State Road 417 (Central
Florida Greeneway) is scheduled to close between 8 p.m. and 6 a.m. for roadway paving work.
Detour signs will be in place to direct motorists.

The ramp from westbound SR 408 to Goldenrod Road is scheduled to close Wednesday,
March 23, between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. for roadway paving and roadway striping work. During this
time, motorists should use the ramp from westbound SR 408 to State Road 436 (Semoran
Boulevard) as an alternate.

Also, the Yucatan Drive on-ramp to eastbound SR 408 is scheduled to close Wednesday,
March 23, between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. for roadway paving work. Motorists should use the
Goldenrod Road ramp to eastbound SR 408 as an alternate.

Adverse weather conditions and other unforeseen circumstances could delay or prolong work.

Motorists are always urged to use caution in the construction area and are reminded that
speeding fines are doubled when workers are present. Motorists are also reminded to change
lanes for safety when they see flashing lights – it’s Florida law.

This work is part of a $675 million SR 408 widening and improvements project from the Florida
Turnpike interchange to State Road 417 (Central Florida Greeneway). Find details on this and
other Expressway Authority projects at www.ExpresswayAuthority.com.
