College Comp 2
Element Paper
3/25/11
Epiphany Moment
This may surprise you but I had my epiphany moment last night. Kelly and I were driving
home after shopping and talking about our paper we had to write for College Comp 2. Kelly and
I were thinking that we would just write about someone in their element because that would be a
lot easier since we haven’t had an epiphany moment yet. Then, we started talking about people in
their element and who we could write about. Kelly told me I could write about Cole, my younger
brother, because he is always in his element when he is in wrestling. Then my epiphany moment
happened.
when I am watching wrestling. I love watching wrestling so much and have such a passion for it.
I don’t know all the moves and all the ways you earn points, but I have been learning over the
last few years. Watching my brother wrestle is one of my favorite things to do, however, I like to
watch anyone wrestle, not just him. I love to watch our Prowler varsity wrestling team, Cole, the
Take down club, and even college wrestling on TV. I attend every wrestling match I can, even
though most times we have to leave at 6:00 am. I really am in my element when I watch
wrestling.

I always have energy when watching wrestling, especially while watching my brother. I am
genuinely happy while watching wrestling and love to cheer my brother on. I have never been an
athletic person or enjoyed watching sports but there is just something about wrestling that I truly
love, and I’m not sure what it is. I love the intensity, the one on one matches, the effort they put
forth during the match, the specific moves, and a lot more.
Yes, I am in my element while watching wrestling. I will not make a living of wrestling,
that’s for sure. I couldn’t be a coach because I don’t know enough. I could maybe be a secretary
and I for sure could be a fan. I am not going to pursue a career in wrestling but it will always be
something that I have on the side to enjoy. Hopefully one day my kids will wrestle, and I can be
in my element while watching them. It will be nice to have an element that I can go to after my
job and just untwine. I haven’t found my element that I will pursue as a career but I have found a
