An old, old man,

Lost in memory and reflection,
It is so,
He must go,
But go, in what direction?

He did good deeds,

Planted good seeds,
But at times he stumbled and fell,
He tried to stay fit,
But he sinned a bit,
Does he go to heaven or hell?

He hoped good deeds,

And ignoring base needs,
Would bring him Salvation ,
But others have said,
When he is dead ,
He may face reincarnation.

As we grow old ,
The problems unfold,
It can be this or that,
When we depart,
Do we strum a harp
or simply come back as a gnat?
