Abstract:
 CoopMAC has been proposed as a implementation of
cooperation protocols in the medium access control layer of a
wireless network.

In order to save energy some nodes may refrain from

cooperation, such nodes are called selfish nodes or misbehavior
nodes.

Fading and interference may prevent nodes from cooperating.

Existing System:
• Nodes perform misbehavior so that they can save energy.

• This can be avoided if other nodes detect and punish

misbehaving nodes.

• In the existing system, this was detected by fading and

interference but could not give best results.
Proposed System:
• In the proposed system, we use automatic repeat
request (ARQ) protocol is used, which detect
misbehaving nodes.

• Two techniques are characterized and compared in

terms of their average detection delay and resulting
network performance.
Hardware Requirements:
• Processor : Pentium-III (or) Higher

• Ram : 64MB (or) Higher

• Cache : 512MB

• Hard disk : 10GB

Software Requirements:
• Operating System : Windows2000serverFamily.

• Techniques : JDK 1.5

• Data Base : My SQL

• Front End : Java Swings.

Conclusion:
• Two techniques are used to detect selfish nodes.

• Sequential probability ratio test is best suited to

environments where fastest detection of misbehaving
nodes is required.

• Uniformly most powerful technique is best suited to

environments that tolerate detection delay to attain the
minimum misbehaving detection probability.
