b. ASG Assistant to the Treasurer: 2010-2011
1. Revamped RSO Evaluation Forms
2. Took detailed minutes to increase accountability
3. Studied Appropriations Process to find areas that must be improved

II. Initiatives for My Tenure


a. Foster Friendly Relationship with RSO
1. Focus on enabling all RSOs to put on quality events
2. Offer budget advice to any RSO whenever they request help
3. Continue “Open Door” Policy
b. Continue Transparency and Communication
1. Improve minutes and make them more accessible to RSOs
2. Constantly connect with RSOs via personal communication
3. Update “Funding Quick Guide” and “Tutorials” portion of ASG website
c. Improve the Allocations Process
1. Require Every RSO to submit Budget Explanation
2. Improve Spreadsheet to reduce confusion
3. Create a Hierarchy of Violations (Violations = less priority for funding)
4. Mock Training Session for Budget Committee to train for Allocation Process

III. Explore Future Reform of Appropriations Process


a. Explore implementation of online budget submissions
b. Explore Funding RSOs on Event-by-Event Basis
1. Fund events/conferences as needed by RSOs, not semester in advance
2. Create two new committees to be filled with at-large members of the student body by the ASG
Exec Board (sub-cabinet positions)
3. Each committee consists of nine voting members plus one chair; one committee will hear
conference allocations and the other programs allocations
4. Conference/Programs send recommendations to Senate Budget Committee
5. Once approved by Budget Committee, events are added to “Consent Calendar”. Approved
automatically, unless Senator objects to event, which is put to Senate vote
c. Current propositions are only in planning stages and will need a great deal of
student input and change before it can be put to Referendum vote in Spring 2012
Election.
