As the former owner/publisher of Art & Antiques Magazine it has

been a special pleasure to follow Jill Steenhuis’ evolution as an artist
during the past fifteen years. She has and continues to cut a wide
swath both in France and in the U.S.

Her hospitality and exposure to art in Aix de Provence for many, many
American visitors is legend. The one-man shows she has held to
benefit charities as well as proud owners of her art have enhanced her
following from New York to Texas. Collectors of her art have truly
become a cult of sorts and the circle just keeps getting larger and
larger.

Jill would make an outstanding “artist in residence” for the Virginia

Center for the Creative Arts. There is no doubt others that would
include strong endorsements of such an honor would include M/M
Timothy Mullen of Charlottesville, VA and M/M Daniel Rather of
Atlanta, GA both of whom have added Jill’s work to their substantial
collections.

Jill is blossoming more every year and the aforesaid recommendation

is made in the belief she will continue to become an even more
important part of art history.
