Homework:
Research is an important skill.
So who uses it?
• Everyone who goes to University!
• Mathematicians & scientists
• Statisticians & businesses
• Government
• And many more...
How is your research
homework structured?
• You will have all of Maths, Science and English
homework time for one week to complete
your research.
• You should work on your research each night
this week.
• Your research should be submitted on Friday
8th April (before the Easter holidays)
What will your research involve?
• Your research project will include 4 different sections.
• You will be given instructions so you know what is
supposed to be in your answer for each section.
• There are websites recommended to help you
research.
• You can also take out books from the library that Miss
Everett has recommended.
• You can borrow equipment from the library to help
you with your investigation, including; measuring tape
& circle tools.
What will your research involve?
• Section A:
Background knowledge: Understanding the parts of a circle.
• Section B:
Investigation: The value of Pi.
• Section C:
Pi in our world
• Section D:
The Story of Pi
Who can help?
• Miss Ryan & Miss Ozeke can help you before
school or at break / lunchtime this week
• Miss Everett is available during any library
opening hours
• Homework club can help
• You can work on your project in Pupil support at
lunchtimes
