You are on page 1of 2

Marking Points:

- correct representation in
heading of table:
m/g etc
- mass in whole number
- temp with 1 dp (either .0 or .5)
- at least 6 readings for plotting
of a curve (unless otherwise
given in the question how many
readings to take)

- correct calculation of Lm
in 1 dp (as all temp readings
are in 1 dp)
- Rx calculation should be in
1 dp (consistent with input
data's precition)
- mx read from the graph
correctly
- calculation of specific heat
capacity should have units
behind value (and should be
in 3 sf (as the mass used is
in 3 sf in calculations)

Source of error:
State the source of error + explain how and why the error affects
the accuracy of the readings.
Marking Points:
- Large Graph (>5 sq horizontally, > 6 sq vertically)
- Correct plot
- Smooth line of best fit drawn (equal no. pts above and
below the graph drawn)
- Title with units
- Correct axes with units
- Do not use inappropriate/uneven/wierd scale
- Reading of mx should be in dotted line and neat
