Problem Statement
There are a number of students who have to miss class
due to a lack of childcare.

Scope Statement
The LATA GROUP will propose a feasible plan for the
ITT-Tech north Houston campus. It will allow them to
provide a daycare facility for those students who are
attending class only.

STATEMENT OF WORK FOR LATA GROUP
 
What we plan to have as a deliverable for this project is a service that the school will be
able to provide to the students. This will be a service that the school can use as a
marketing and selling tool.
First a survey will be conducted of the student body to establish how big the demand is.
Once the scope has been defined we then build a WBS.
Scheduled meetings are set up to define what needs to be done and how long each
activity should take.
Next we will find the government financing to pay for this joint venture.
Quality assurance will be defined and delivered.
Human resources are established in our group but the outside human resources will be
the stakeholders and they will be managed as needed.
Communication is established in meetings. All the stakeholders will be distributed
information as the project moves along. This allows for the stakeholders expectations to
remain realistic and address any issues that might arise.
Risk analysis will be researched to come up with a contingency plan to decrease the
probability and impact of negative events.
The procurement of the grants or funding found would have to be done by the actual
school administrators.

can make it possible for parents to support themselves
and their families both financially and in this case
educational development as well

FINAL ANALYSIS
Our survey results showed us that we needed a facility
that could hold at least 30 students day or night.
Further research of the daycares revealed that evening
courses would not be covered unless the daycare was
24hrs.
Oakdale 24hr daycare is conveniently located on Ella
&1960 and was willing to sister with ITT-Tech but was
unwilling to except federal grants.

Conclusion
We found that there is a need for the daycare thru the
student surveys.(see deliverable 1.2 sub-deliverable
1.1.2) Because of all the research conducted we realized
that we had certain criteria to be met. The late hours
was a must criteria that was met by the 24hr daycare
facilities however they were unwilling to guarantee the
space if ITT-Tech couldn’t guarantee the head count
because of the changing needs of the changing
students. These facts made our project a no-go.
