Life after 50 Years

Man is a dreamer. Ever since Eve took the first bite of the apple and Adam and his
partner were banished to earth, man has been dreaming about making a heaven on
earth. He has been laboring on his dreams to make them a reality everyday and that is
the reason behind where we stand today; amidst such luxuries and comforts which
could only have imagined and dreamed about in the past. That is the power of thinking
and dreaming. Our future is entirely the product of our creative imaginations right now.
What we dream today, we make it a reality tomorrow. I remember a few years back
finding a very old magazine belonging to my grandfather, from the 1950’s and inside it
were articles about the man’s aspiration to go to the moon in the future! I found it very
interesting to read about history in a future tense. The dream of men in that era is now a
part of history. Our children will read about it in textbooks like old news as they will have
many new things to look forward to. Okay so man has been to moon and back… what is
next? This is how man thinks,…..always thinking about what is next. And given this
history of man to never stop thinking about the future, I too dare to dream of the future
of man in next 50 years.

When I think of man after 50 years, two things come to my mind. First is the
advancement of man himself, as a human being and a building block of a healthy
society. And second are the advancements that man has made in all fields of life
contributing to a healthy and peaceful society.

MAN AFTER 50 YEARS

When I imagine man after 50 years ,I see him much grown and matured. He has finally
come to understand the importance and the need of peace in the world. He has given
up on wars and exploitation and all his efforts are now driven towards the betterment of
all human race. He has also learned after a long time of leading a lonely life among
working with machines, the importance of family. Family and social values mean a lot to
him. He has finally built himself a society worth of of a human, a society based on
equality and justice, peace and love. A society that truly reflects what God has
demanded of man when He sent him to Earth. Man has learned all these lessons after a
long and harsh time, tainted with wars, poverty and disease but he has finally won these
battles and is ready to be free from all demons.

LIFE AFTER 50 YEARS

When I dream of life after 50 years, I think of all the things that seem almost impossible
at the time, but knowing man, I must say nothing is impossible and thus I must not stop
from thinking the unimaginable about the future. Man is at the height of luxury and

comfort. Some of the advancements that I imagine man to have made after 50 year are
as follows:

ADVANCEMENT IN MEDICINE AND HEALTH

After years of research and hardwork man has won the battle with disease. There is not
a cure that is impossible. Stem cell technology is the mainstay of the fight against
disease. New cells are created and put in place of the diseased or the cancerous ones.
Preventive medicine has advance d by leaps and bounds. Future disease risks can be
calculated during the fetal life and steps taken to prevent it in future during the fetal life.
Now that man is disease free, the only threat to him is old age and that too not for long
as he is fast on his tracks to find a way to stop that too. Ha has already found the way to
delay aging, soon he’l be able to stop it all together.

TRANSPORTATION

Man is now faster than ever. Automobiles, planes, all have become obsolete now. Man
is now fully capable of teleporting from one place to another within a matter of seconds.

COMMUNICATION

Man is free from carrying the burden of a cell phone or a laptop. Using air interface
technology man receives sound and visual stimuli from far off places through a satellite,
hitting directly on his eardrums and retina respectively. So that now he can
communicate with a person from long distance as if he’s right in front of him.

CYBER SPACE THE NEW WORLD

Life of man now revolves around cyber technology. It has taken over the world with a
storm. Everything is done and available in cyber space. Everything is a controlled by a
click of man’s hand. Games, shopping, holidays, meeting, business, household,
education, health, and much more on a much bigger level. Poeple don’t need to step
out of their houses at all.

CYBERWAR

Convention and practical warfare is now old story. Cyber war is the new thing. Cyber
armies, weapons, threats in form of viruses. It cuts down on human resources and
monetary losses as well.

ONE GLOBAL CURRENCY

Man is using one currency all over the globe and has given up on concept of rich and
poor. All nations are one and everyone is equal. Poverty is s gone thing now.

WEATHER CONTROL

Man can now control the climate. He can shift the artificial clouds in the atmosphere and
make it rain any part of the world. Droughts and famine are words found now only in
history books.

DISASTER PREVENTION AND MANAGEMENT

With highly advanced technology, major disaster such as earthquakes and tsunamis
can now be predicted as early as a decade and with safe shelters and quick evacuation
by teleportation, human loss in any such scenario is impossible.

FREE ENERGY

After man has exhausted all the natural and unnatural fuels, solar energy is is biggest
and the cheapest source of energy. Man is now totally dependent on this form of
energy. Of course nuclear energy and antimatter exist too but there were problem with
the disposal of nuclear debris and safety so both these have been disposed off.

REPRODUCTION OF EXTINCT SPECIES

By the use of cloning of the preserved DNAs of the now extinct and endangered
species, they are being recreated.

ADVENTURES IN SPACE

Now that Mars has been declared safe for human life, it is now the most popular holiday
destination after moon. After last month’s successful trip to venus by a group of
Pakistani astronauts, tests are being done on the samples brought back by them.

RISEOF MACHINES AND ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE

All the labor In the world has been taken over by machines. From simple house chores
to heavy industrial work, it is all done by machines and robots. Man has made
exceptional advancement in the field of artificial intelligence. For instance, robots are
now routinely performing highly difficult medical procedures.

ENTERTAINMENT AND RECREATION

All the hardwork man has been doing has not made him boring or negligent about his
own recreation. He has side by side given time to making his sports more challenging
and fun. Entertainment has also not been ignored and it has advanced along with man.

SUMMARY
Man has come a long way after 50 years. He is now fast, moving from place to place
within seconds. He is more safe, with no disease and foolproof disaster prevention and
management methods. He is more comfortable than ever with machines being his
slaves. He is more in control of his environment with advancement in climate control
and cloning of extinct species. He is more cautious than before, taking warfare to cyber
space and making the world free from war. He is more adventurous, taking frequent
expeditions to space. But most important, man is more wise and responsible now. He
has learnt his lessons and he vales peace, love and justice. He has finally given up on
prejudices and exploitations. He believes now in equality and the world being a home
for all brothers. He also now believes in strong family and social values. Man, after 50
years, has finally made a heaven on earth.
