Merry : John, what a coincidence to meet you
here! Are you looking for a doll?
John: No, I’m not. I’m accompanying my sister. The
girl standing there is my sister.
Merry : What a pretty girl!
John: Thanks. She is my lovely sister.
Merry : I guess you really love your sister.
John: Yes, I love her very much. Since my father
passed away, I’ve been very close with her. I just
want to be a good brother for her.
Merry : I see
Virny : Linda, what’s wrong with you? You look so gloomy.
Linda : Well, something bad just happened to me. And It
really makes me sad.
Virny : Tell me. What makes you sad?
Linda : Someone told Mr. Surya a lie about me. She told him
that I had cheated in the last test. To make it worse, I
only get 60; though, I’m sure I could get 90.
Virny : I see. Well, for your case, I think you’d better talk to
Mr. Surya soon and explain that you didn’t cheat. If
he’s still doubtful about this, at least you can ask him to
give you a remedial test. You can use this opportunity
to prove that you can do the test well without cheating.
Linda : You’re right. Thanks, Virny.
Viirny : You’re welcome. Now cheer up.
