It takes 2.8 to 5 volts.
It is web based interface, RAM has 386 bites

INDICATIONS
Iron deficiency anaemia when obscure gastro intestinal
bleeding is suspected.

Detection of benign and malignant small intestinal


tumours.

Evaluation of Coeliac disease (not responding to


treatment or where there is doubt about the diagnosis) and
other other malabsorption disorders that may lead to
chronic diarrhoea and weight loss.
INDICATIONS CONT’D
 Identification of medication related to small bowel injury.

An additional diagnostic facility for possible small bowel


abnormalities identified by other.

 Investigations (such as CT, MRI or barium X-rays)


requiring further investigation.

 Diagnosis of early or suspected small bowel Crohn’s


disease.
PROCEDURE
Ingest the pillcam video.

Capsule transmits image to data recorder.

Images are reviewed using software and


physicians make diagnosis.
