Financial Statement Analysis

Guidelines for group work

Each group is required to :

1. select 2 companies in the same industry

2. analyse balance sheets and income statements of the companies selected
for a period of 3 years
3. analyse the industry and the economic environment in brief
4. present the analysis in class for 10 minutes
5. submit the ppt after the presentation
6. the order of the presentation will be decided by drawing lots

Guidelines for presentation

1. the presentation is for 10 minutes and will be followed by Q & A session of

5 minutes
2. all members of the group are required to be present at the time of
presentation
3. presentation may be made by 2 or 3 members of the group
4. questions may be asked to any member of the group and he/she is
expected to answer the question
5. soft copy of the ppt has to be submitted immediately after the presentation
