Assignment # 3

In flood stage a natural channel often consists of a deep mail channel plus two
floodplains, as shown in Figure 1. The floodplains are often shallow and rough. If the
channel has same slop everywhere, determine the discharge. Suppose that y1=7 m,
y2= 1.5 m, b1=12 m, b2=33 m, n1=0.02, n2=0.04 with slop of 0.0002.
